Sentence Structure A2
French does not stick to one slot. The position changes the emphasis, and knowing the three options turns a stiff sentence into a natural one.
Sentence Structure — Word order, negation, questions and linking words.
Most short adverbs sit directly after the conjugated verb: "Il parle bien." "Elle travaille lentement." "Nous arrivons bientôt." This is correct in almost every sentence and safe to use whenever you are unsure.
अधिकांश छोटे क्रिया-विशेषण तुरंत रूप बदली क्रिया के बाद बैठते हैं: "Il parle bien." "Elle travaille lentement." "Nous arrivons bientôt." लगभग हर वाक्य में यह सही है, और संदेह होने पर इसी का प्रयोग कीजिए।
Moving the adverb in front of the verb turns it into a comment: "Bien, il parle." "Lentement, elle travaille." This is emphatic and slightly formal or literary, and it is how you correct someone: "Clairement, je ne suis pas d'accord."
क्रिया-विशेषण को आगे बढ़ाने से वह टिप्पणी बन जाता है: "Bien, il parle." "Lentement, elle travaille." यह ज़ोरदार है और थोड़ा औपचारिक या साहित्यिक, और किसी को सही करने का तरीका भी यही है: "Clairement, je ne suis pas d'accord."
Adverbs of manner that answer "how" often go at the end: "Je parle français couramment." "Il travaille bien." Short ones can also follow: "C'est vrai." But a long adverb at the end makes the sentence unbalanced — move it after the verb.
"कैसे" का जवाब देने वाले क्रिया-विशेषण प्रायः अंत में जाते हैं: "Je parle français couramment." "Il travaille bien." छोटे अंत में भी आ सकते हैं: "C'est vrai." पर लंबा क्रिया-विशेषण अंत में वाक्य को असंतुलित बन देता है — उसे क्रिया के बाद ले जाइए।
Il a bien mangé = He ate well (the eating was good). Bien mangé, il va dormir = Well fed, he is going to sleep (comment). Il a mangé bien = He ate properly (complete, literary). Position is doing the work the English word order does for you.
Il a bien mangé = उसने अच्छे से खाया (खाना अच्छा था)। Bien mangé, il va dormir = पेट भरकर, वह सोने जा रहा है (टिप्पणी)। Il a mangé bien = उसने ठीक से खाया (संपूर्ण, साहित्यिक)। अंग्रेज़ी में जो काम वाक्य-क्रम करता है, यहाँ जगह करती है।
*Aujourd'hui, je vais au marché is marked as an error in written French. Today belongs inside the sentence, after the verb: "Aujourd'hui, je vais au marché" becomes "Je vais au marché aujourd'hui." Adverbs of TIME follow the verb; only adverbs of MANNER and COMMENT may open a sentence.
Réponse : Il n'a presque jamais menti
💡 Le plus restrictif vient en premier : presque jamais. L'inverser décrit une notion qui n'existe pas en français.
Q3. Où se place « déjà » dans « J'ai vu ce film » ?
« J'ai vu ce film » में « déjà » कहाँ आता है?
Réponse : J'ai déjà vu ce film
💡 Avec un temps composé, les adverbes courts (déjà, souvent, toujours, presque) se glissent entre l'auxiliaire et le participe : j'ai déjà vu.
